The yellow male plug of the visual alert line was too small for the yellow visual alert port on the Adaptiv wire harness. We cut off the plug and the port and connected the wires directly. There were three wires in the housing of the port line, so we had to test which ones to connect to the visual alert line before soldering them together. Of course, this was an on-the-fly and permanent solution….

This is the final set up for combing my Adaptiv TPX Radar Detector & Mix-It2 Amplifier/Mixer on a Yamaha FZ1. My intention is to play music and listen for the radar warning while riding. Since I use a SAE port power cord, I spliced a SAE plug to the Mix-It2 power cord.
